Position Description:
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at DePaul University in Chicago invites applications for a full-time Professional Lecturer position (non-tenure track) with teaching responsibilities commencing in the Fall of 2026.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level with a focus on lectures and labs in organic chemistry. Other possible teaching opportunities exist in non-science majors chemistry courses, general chemistry or biochemistry lectures and labs, and in the Liberal Studies Program.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- PhD in chemistry or related discipline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience teaching at the college level
- Experience teaching both in-person and online Chemistry courses
- Experience teaching in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close faculty-student interaction

About DePaul University's Academic Calendar
Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
Salary Information:
The salary range for this 10-month position is $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
