Purpose and Scope:
This position supports all broadcast efforts for C19TV including promotional videos, district training videos. Also supports live coverage of District events, sports coverage, meeting coverage and special project request.
Essential Job Functions:
- Writes scripts and creates educational and informational television programs for internal and external audiences.
- Creates production schedules for all video broadcast efforts.
- Produces and directs video broadcasts utilizing digital editing systems.
- Provides guidance, technical support and training to school-based and central office personnel on video production best practices to increase content for the station.
- Provides media training to students; advises students assisting with broadcast projects and programs.
- Collaborates with manager and other District staff to develop short and long range goals for assigned program or functional area.
- Researches and explores feasibility of implementing new methods, technologies or programs.
- Assists to develop, schedule, implement and monitor programs, projects and operations.
- Researches and compiles data in preparation of various statistical, administrative and/or financial reports, including but not limited to listener ratings and scheduling guidelines to ensure the station is meeting federal guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, Communications or a related field; OR an equivalent combination or related education and experience totaling four (4) years.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
