Job Description
Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute in Kansas City is actively searching for a BC/BE medical oncologist to join a comprehensive and growing team.
About the position
- The physician will join a dynamic, academically focused, regionally integrated group of oncologists with an emphasis on multidisciplinary care, quality, research, and teaching.
- The position will focus on general hematology/oncology.
- Commission on Cancer Silver Commendation Accredited Integrated Cancer Network Program and QOPI certified practice.
- This integrated group of medical oncologists serves four metropolitan locations in the Kansas City area.
- The Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute has a robust clinical research program with NCI, industry and investigator initiated clinical trials as well as a Center for Precision Oncology and a molecular tumor board.
- This employed position offers excellent opportunities for research and academic appointments through University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine.

About Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute
Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute, a division of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and part of Saint Luke’s, the West Region of BJC Health, one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States. The Cancer Institute provides early detection, expert diagnosis, personalized treatment options, and survivorship support to every patient. The Cancer Institute employs medical oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, gyn-oncologists, and radiation oncologists who subspecialize in every type of cancer, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, liver, brain, gynecologic, melanoma, and urologic cancers.
Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute leads the way with innovation for our patients by offering the region’s only precision oncology program for advanced cancers, staffed by clinical oncologists with expertise in genomic sequencing and computational biology. Access to more than 200 cancer clinical trials for patients is provided by Saint Luke’s. The Institute was also the first to bring 3D mammography to the region and has the largest network of 3D mammography centers. We offer one of the region’s only precision oncology programs for advanced cancers that’s staffed by clinical oncologists with expertise in genomic sequencing and computational biology. And Saint Luke’s Hospital Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer is the first facility in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of Stage 4 breast cancer.
