Job Summary
BMC2 (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Cardiovascular Consortium) is launching an ambitious new initiative to transform heart failure care across the state of Michigan. We are seeking an experienced clinical leader, strategist, and relationship-builder to help create and lead the BMC2 Heart Failure Registry (BMC2-HF) from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity to build something new, influence care for thousands of patients, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, health systems, payers, pharmacists, and patients across Michigan. The successful candidate will partner closely with BMC2 leadership to develop the vision, strategy, and operational infrastructure for a statewide quality improvement program that will drive measurable improvements in outcomes for patients living with heart failure.

Responsibilities
- Lead colleagues and stakeholders to build, operationalize, and sustain the BMC2 Heart Failure registry.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making in conjunction with the BMC2 Heart Failure Director and BMC2 Leadership.
- Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, direct reports, payors, and diverse partners across the state by consistently demonstrating integrity in all interactions.
- Direct a portion of BMC2 Coordinating Center staff, including alignment of daily work with strategic priorities and monitoring program deliverables.
- Identify and build relationships with healthcare partners statewide to support registry expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
- Clinical experience, RN preferred.
- Previous experience managing 3+ direct reports.
- Previous experience building & leading strategic initiatives or registries.
- Demonstrated growth mindset to actively seek opportunities to learn, adapt, and apply new skills and knowledge to enhance team and personal performance.
- Ability to thrive at an intersection of innovation, curiosity, and grit.
- Ability to analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of responsibilities.
- Ability to perform primary activities that affect business operations to a substantial degree with independent decision-making authority.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across a large spectrum of stakeholders of varying levels and backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to manage daily operations while executing long-term strategic planning goals.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
