ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial reporting and accounting operations of Absher's affiliated entities. This position oversees month-end close, financial reporting, audit coordination, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, inventory management, and fixed asset accounting while partnering closely with Accounting and Operations to ensure accurate financial information and support business decisions. The role also contributes to the preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys both technical accounting and leadership and is interested in growing in the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reporting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
- Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare supporting financial documentation
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, inventory, and regulatory filings
- Partner with Operations to support project financial reporting and cost management
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
- Coach and mentor accounting staff while supporting department growth
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Why You'll Be Successful:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Experience with construction accounting, including WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting
- Experience preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
- Familiarity with construction accounting software such as Vista, Procore, Prophix, Point of Rental, or similar ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement and developing others
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (Federal Contractor requirement)
COMPENSATION
Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity. Pay Transparency: $95,000 USD - $125,000 USD
