Responsibilities:
- Process timely and accurate payroll tax returns
- Oversee all facets of multi-state payroll tax payment processing, tax return preparation, and payroll tax reporting compliance
- Prepare tax returns and invoice adjustments to collect discrepancies from the client
- Keep abreast of current tax laws to ensure compliance
- Assist customers with tax registrations
- Resolve tax issues and communicate with client
- Request abatement of penalty with state agencies
- Reconcile tax related general ledger accounts and journal entries
- Prepare and maintain all payroll tax related files weekly and quarterly
- Perform account analysis, reconciliations and year end W-2 processes
- Convert clients to new state agent websites
- Perform other duties as assigned such as special projects and research
- 2 - 5 years of experience with payroll tax filings and compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required
- Experience with payroll tax software a plus
- Multi-state tax filing a plus
