The Warehouse Associate at Adept Life Sciences supports the receipt, storage, staging, and shipment of raw materials, packaging components, and finished dietary supplement products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, safe and efficient material handling, and full compliance with cGMP and warehouse SOPs throughout the flow of goods in and out of the facility. The Warehouse Associate works closely with Production, Quality, and Purchasing to keep materials available when needed and finished goods moving out the door on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Receiving & Inspection

• Receive incoming raw materials, packaging components, and supplies; verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, correct quantity, and accurate labeling before accepting into inventory.
• Route incoming materials for quality hold, sampling, or release per established receiving procedures.
• Enter receiving transactions accurately and promptly into the inventory/ERP system.

Inventory Management & Storage

• Store raw materials, components, and finished goods in designated locations following FIFO/FEFO and lot traceability requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and physical inventory support.
• Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness) to protect product integrity.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or expiring materials.

Order Picking, Staging & Shipping

• Pick and stage materials and components to support production schedules and work orders.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including packing, labeling, and palletizing per client and carrier requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and generate accurate shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists).
• Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Material Handling & Equipment

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with training and safety protocols.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including proper storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation for receiving, inventory transactions, and shipping in compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
• Support lot traceability and recall readiness through accurate record-keeping.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
• Support Quality by flagging damaged, mislabeled, or out-of-specification materials immediately.

General & Additional Duties

• Assist with other warehouse or production tasks as assigned, including material staging and general floor support.
• Support cross-training across warehouse functions to maintain flexible coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Warehouse department and company objectives.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Accuracy

• Inventory count accuracy maintained across cycle counts.
• Receiving transactions entered into the ERP/inventory system within [X] hours of physical receipt.

Timeliness

• Outbound shipments staged and ready within established cutoff times.
• Production floor requests for materials fulfilled within 2 hours of request.

Safety & Compliance

• Zero avoidable safety incidents; consistent use of required PPE and safe equipment operation.
• Batch/lot documentation complete, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment preferred; forklift certification a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around lot numbers, labeling, and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a regular and dependable attendance record with flexibility to support production and shipping schedules.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)

• Experience in nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical warehousing.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements (21 CFR Part 111 and/or Part 117).
• Experience with lot traceability, FIFO/FEFO inventory practices, or ERP/WMS systems.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
