Substitute Nurse will be responsible for covering a school or schools when one of the full-time nurses are absent. Hours are 7:45am to 3:15pm. Substitute nurse will have one day of training where he/she will be taken around to the different schools.
A School Nurse position requires LPN/RN licensure in the state of Tennessee. Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience. BLS certification is required.
Nurses will be responsible for daily medication administration to students, basic health assessment skills, and should possess good communication skills. Professionalism and dedication to the job is a must. Please submit resume and complete an online application. Applicants should also upload a copy of their licensure and certification. Must complete a TBI Background check prior to being hired.

All fingerprint background checks for Lauderdale County Schools are processed thru the L-1 Enrollment Services. The cost of the background check is the responsibility of the candidate at the time of service. This fee will enable the Department of Education to receive the results of the background check in a timely manner. The district does not reimburse for background check fees. ALL applicants require fingerprint background checks. Please follow the steps identified below.
A. To register and make an appointment:
1. Call (855) 226-2937, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Once registered, you will receive a registration confirmation number.

Click on DON’T KNOW YOUR SERVICE CODE
Click on the Agency Name box and select STATE SCHOOLS/COLLEGES
Select applicant type and click GO.
Enter ORI Number: TN930720Z and click GO
Select YES (Lauderdale County Bo of Ed) - then follow the instructions on the screen.
B. Proceed to the fingerprint location of your choice at your scheduled appointment time.
You must be pre-registered and must pay with either a MONEY ORDER made out to L-1 Enrollment Services or use a CREDIT CARD for the fees.

C. At the fingerprint service site, the Applicant must provide a valid State or Federal government issued identification (driver license, birth certificate, or social security card), and a set of fingerprints will be taken.
D. Fingerprints will be electronically forwarded to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and all results of the fingerprint background check will be provided to the Agency.
E. Complete the Waiver Agreement and Statement of Criminal History Checks form and Child Protection Services Waiver form. Email both forms, along with your receipt to HR@k12.lced.net
F. Once your results are received by LCS, you will be notified by Human Resources.
