KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Job Description Available Upon Demand)
- Supports and implements the practice mission and strategic vision within their respective departments.
- Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity, and security policies.
- Reviews prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
- Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
- Consults patients, answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
- Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
- Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
- Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain all pharmacy records required by the state, federal, and company mandated.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree Required | Current Nebraska Pharmacy License (State Registry In Good Standing) Required | Successful Completion of An Accredited Pharmacy Educational Institution Required | No Record of Alcohol, Drug-Related Misdemeanor or Felony Conviction | No Medicare or Medicaid Restrictions or Sanctions | Medical Terminology | Familiar With Pharmacy Software & EMR Systems | Familiar With Microsoft Platforms & Data Entry | Insurance Experience
EXPERIENCE: One-Year Direct Pharmacist Experience In High-Volume Setting Preferred
