Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Install General Contractor to lead and oversee a variety of outdoor construction projects. This role involves managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of landscape, pond, sprinkler, and related outdoor installations. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality results on time and within scope.
Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of outdoor construction projects, including ponds, waterfalls, landscapes, and irrigation systems
- Manage on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure safety protocols and project specifications are met
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for various installations
- Oversee construction activities such as concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and fixture installation
- Utilize construction management software like Bluebeam for project documentation and communication
- Conduct construction inspections to maintain quality standards and adherence to building codes
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate site work and installation processes
Required
- 5+ years of construction management or general contracting experience
- Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Experience managing subcontractors and project schedules
- Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction management and site supervision
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Skilled in various trades including plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), roofing, stucco application, glass installation, tile laying, flooring installation, drywall finishing (plastering), caulking, restoration work, welding, concrete finishing, fabrication and remodeling techniques
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools for diverse construction tasks
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on job sites
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and inspection procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades simultaneously
