Job Summary: The RN Circulator manages all the necessary care inside the surgery room, assisting the team in maintaining and creating a comfortable, safe environment for the patient and observing the team from a wide perspective. With two primary roles as patient advocacy and patient safety.
Primary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Perioperative Preparation:
- Assess patient's preoperative status, ensuring readiness for surgery.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure to prevent errors.
- Communicate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care and equipment setup.
- Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.
Intraoperative Assistant:
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during the operation.
- Maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Manage surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and functionality.
- Document intraoperative activities, including medications, fluids, and interventions.

- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the surgical procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during the operation.
- Maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
