POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Technician will provide superb technical service for our client base in our Service Department. The Senior Technician will travel to our clientsʼ place of business to perform routine or emergency equipment and machine repairs for Overhead High-Speed, Sectional, Rolling Steel Fire Doors, Dock Levelers & Platform Lifts, Vehicle Restraints, Dock Seals, Shelters, and related dock equipment. Additionally, the Senior Technician will service Pedestrian Entrance Doors, Frames, and Hardware. This senior-level position requires a minimum of eight 8 years of industry-related experience servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing commercial doors, dock equipment, and/or automatic entrance systems. A primary requirement is a strong background with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools, and the ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
● Performing preventive maintenance and repair services of all types on commercial dock equipment.
● Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems onsite.
● Ensure the accurate completion of project tickets with field notes and completion photos. Update and correct details of work performed, parts used, and services needed.
● Analyze and respond professionally to customers' concerns and annotate them in our internal system.
● Organize tools and parts at the job site and on trucks.
● Disassemble or remove parts and equipment for maintenance or repair.
● Install hardware and replace damaged and/or worn parts.
● Run electrical wiring to connect equipment.
● Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
● Test mechanical & electrical equipment to ensure its functioning properly and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
● Observe and adhere to all safety policies and identify and report unsafe work practices or conditions.
● Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency service and repairs for customers as needed.
● Respond promptly to emergency service calls outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.
● Maintain readiness to travel to customer locations for urgent equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
● Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
● Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
● Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
● May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
● Has the ability to work in cold and hot weather.
● May need to travel to remote locations or work out of town.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
● Valid Driverʼs License
● High School Diploma/GED
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
