General Purpose
The Enterprise Architect serves as a senior technical leader responsible for solving complex technology challenges, guiding enterprise architecture strategy, and ensuring alignment across infrastructure, security, compliance, resilience, and business objectives. This role is intended for a hands-on senior architect capable of operating at both strategic and deeply technical levels in a highly regulated financial environment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Serves as a senior technical advisor to executive leadership on enterprise architecture, technology strategy, resilience, and modernization initiatives.
- Partners with Security, Infrastructure, Development, Risk, Audit, and Compliance teams to ensure technology solutions align with regulatory expectations and organizational standards.
- Leads architecture and design reviews for critical enterprise initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, identity, networking, security, and application environments.
- Drives enterprise resiliency initiatives including disaster recovery, high availability, operational maturity, and self-healing system design.
- Evaluates complex technical and organizational problems, perform root cause analysis, and leads development of sustainable long-term solutions.
- Provides architectural guidance for cloud security, identity and access management, infrastructure automation, application security, and operational governance.
- Develops and maintains enterprise standards for secure architecture, infrastructure-as-code, cloud governance, identity lifecycle management, and operational controls.
- Supports regulatory examinations, internal audit activities, risk assessments, and security governance processes.
- Advises leadership on technology risk, operational maturity, security posture, and strategic investment priorities.
- Assists in development and execution of cloud, infrastructure, and security roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
- Leads cross-functional technical initiatives involving multiple engineering and operational teams.
- Mentors technical staff and provide leadership across architecture, engineering, and security disciplines.
- Evaluates emerging technologies, AI capabilities, automation opportunities, and operational improvements to improve efficiency, resilience, and security posture.
- Participates in incident response, operational escalations, and enterprise problem resolution efforts when necessary.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
- Performs the full range of work assigned, and other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Extensive experience operating within highly regulated environments with strong understanding of audit, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Deep experience with enterprise cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
- Strong background in identity and access management, including SSO, federation, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, privileged access management, and identity governance.
- Experience designing and implementing resilient infrastructure and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security frameworks including NIST, CIS, PCI, FFIEC, and related governance standards.
- Experience leading enterprise security or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and operational automation.
- Experience building or governing cloud security programs and application security capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both executive leadership and deeply technical engineering teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving organizational maturity.
- Experience supporting or leading vulnerability management, threat intelligence, security governance, and operational risk reduction programs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with willingness to engage directly in technical implementation when needed.
- Experience working across infrastructure, networking, security, development, and operational disciplines.
Education or Formal Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related field is required.
- Industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, or other related fields preferred.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of administering and operating multi-site networks with multiple data centers.
- Supervisory experience is beneficial but not required.
Working Conditions
Working Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and multifunction printers. After hours and weekend support will be required for systems changes and disaster recovery testing. Travel to conferences, meetings, and branch locations may necessary.
