About the Role
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that strengthens the company's culture, enhances employee engagement, and ensures consistent, high-quality messaging across the organization. This role serves as the steward of the company's internal brand, leading corporate communications, employee recognition programs, company events, and internal communication platforms.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, organized project manager, and creative designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and requires someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life through compelling communications, memorable employee experiences, and visually engaging materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Corporate & Internal Communications
- Develop and execute the organization's internal communications strategy.
- Draft and distribute company-wide announcements, executive communications, newsletters, and organizational updates.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop messaging for key initiatives, organizational changes, acquisitions, and strategic priorities.
- Ensure communications are timely, accurate, engaging, and aligned with AMBA values and objectives.
Employee Engagement & Recognition
- Lead employee engagement initiatives that reinforce company culture and increase employee satisfaction.
- Manage employee recognition programs, including employee awards, service anniversaries, and other appreciation initiatives.
- Develop creative campaigns that celebrate employee accomplishments and reinforce organizational values.
- Analyze engagement metrics and recommend new initiatives to improve the employee experience.
Company Events
- Plan and coordinate company-wide meetings, including quarterly and annual All Hands meetings.
- Organize employee events such as holiday celebrations, leadership meetings, volunteer activities, wellness events, appreciation events, and other culture-building initiatives.
- Coordinate event logistics, vendors, budgets, audiovisual requirements, speakers, and event communications.
- Serve as the primary project manager for large-scale internal events from concept through execution.
Brand Management & Creative Services
- Design presentations, marketing collateral, digital assets, signage, and other communication materials that align with corporate brand standards.
- Maintain consistency of the company's visual identity across all internal communications.
- Develop templates and communication resources for leaders and departments.
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment between internal and external brand messaging.
Digital Communications
- Manage and continually improve the company's SharePoint intranet and other internal communication platforms.
- Maintain engaging, accurate, and user-friendly internal websites and digital resources.
- Publish and organize content to ensure employees can easily access important information, policies, and resources.
- Evaluate and recommend new communication technologies and employee engagement tools.
Additional Responsibilities
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication and engagement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors, printers, photographers, event venues, and creative partners.
- Maintain communication policies, templates, and style guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible communications, employee engagement, corporate communications, or related experience.
- Experience supporting executive leadership and organizational communications.
- Experience planning and executing corporate events of varying sizes.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design software.
- Experience creating professional presentations and branded communications.
- Demonstrated experience managing SharePoint or similar intranet platforms.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel periodically to company offices and other locations, as needed, to support employee events, leadership meetings, engagement initiatives, and other business activities.
- Travel may include overnight travel and attendance outside of normal business hours when necessary to support company events and organizational priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
