Compensation
AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
The compensation for this position is: $18.00 per hour - $18.50 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collect and remove trash from theatres, lobby, restrooms, concessions, etc.
- Wipe, dust, and polish surfaces including seats, handrails, walls, counters, etc.
- Clean restrooms, including all sinks, fixtures, and toilets.
- Clean mirrors, windows, and glass.
- Use blower or vacuum to effectively clean between and under theatre seats.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors, including utilizing proper signage to avoid slips, trips, and falls.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble various pieces of food and beverage equipment.
- Wash dishes utilizing proper 3-compartment sink procedures.
- Empty trash receptacles as required.
- Stock restrooms, janitor closets, and cleaning carts as needed. Communicate needed supplies to management.
- Abide by all compactor safety rules and maintain compactor/dumpster area cleanliness.
- Follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials.
- Follow all AMC Security Protocols.
- Report damaged/broken equipment to management.
- Observe and report any potential safety or maintenance concerns to management.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Help create an inclusive environment to ensure everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected.
- Adherence to AMC Wardrobe 101 Standards, including black non-slip shoes, black pants, an AMC provided shirt (where applicable), and any items required by local regulations.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor—our team values fun, respect, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.
- Uphold AMC’s standards by adhering to all Company Policies and Procedures.
What We Need From You
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No experience is necessary—we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
- The role requires evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability. Our theatres are open year-round, so we value flexibility during busy times.
- Be a reliable teammate by showing up on time.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and produce quality work within pre-set time frames.
- Ready to work in a fast-paced, fun environment.
- A love for movies and a passion for creating a fantastic experience for every guest.
What We Also Value
- One year of prior cleaning or janitorial experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- High attention to detail
Requirements to be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 90 feet (or deposit into a dumpster or trash compactor)
- Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
- Ability to safely use basic cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work late at night, as necessary.
