Job Summary/General Purpose of Job
- Provides staff management and oversight to entity committees and related projects. Monitors and may manages committee projects. Works on special projects and sponsorship activities.
- Manages administrative operations for committees. Offers staff leadership, facilitates communication and projects, ensures policy compliance, manages budgets, reports on annual committee progress, and oversees all other services administered to committees.
- Supervises one or more staff members. Assigns tasks, monitors progress, and conducts or contributes to annual review.
- Oversees committee appointment process. Provides input to Section officers about future committee leaders and conducts/writes orientation or training materials.
- Manages committee membership recruitment efforts.
- Oversees creation and maintenance of committee database (ABA identified system), committee Websites and listservs.
- Manages relationship and activities for one major Section Corporate Sponsor, including serving as the primary point person for Sponsor.
- Manages organization and implementation of one or more special projects.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years relevant work experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with applicable computer applications, including databases.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Typical office work environment.
- Occasional travel required.
