Tharros is actively pursuing an opportunity to support the Air Force Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) program, providing mission analysis, base assessment support, and data platform management services that strengthen the Air Force's Mission Assurance Construct.
The Mission Assurance Construct enables the Air Force to understand how missions depend on critical assets, infrastructure, systems, and external dependencies; analyze and manage risks to mission execution; and maintain authoritative Mission Assurance data to support senior leader decision-making.
We are seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Team Lead / Senior Mission Analyst to provide both technical leadership and program management support for Mission Assurance activities. This individual will lead mission analysis efforts, coordinate assessment activities, oversee contractor personnel, and ensure the successful execution of all contract requirements while delivering comprehensive Mission Assurance analysis across Air Force installations and mission sets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mission analysis to identify mission dependencies, critical assets, infrastructure, systems, and external factors that impact mission execution.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Mission Assurance assessments at Air Force installations.
- Augment Government-led Mission Assurance assessment teams through technical analysis, assessment planning, execution support, and post-assessment reporting.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders and installation personnel to prepare for and execute Mission Assurance assessments.
- Analyze information from operational plans, technical security assessments, intelligence, policies, directives, and other authoritative sources to identify risks and vulnerabilities affecting mission success.
- Support base assessment activities by collecting, reviewing, validating, and analyzing assessment data to produce mission-focused risk assessments and actionable recommendations.
- Maintain and support Mission Assurance data platforms to ensure accurate, timely, and authoritative information is available for senior leader decision-making.
- Develop assessment reports, executive briefings, and recommendations that improve mission resilience and reduce operational risk.
- Coordinate across Government organizations and contractor personnel to ensure timely completion of assessment activities and contract deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement of Mission Assurance methodologies, documentation, reporting processes, and assessment procedures.
- Maintain situational awareness of evolving threats, hazards, vulnerabilities, and operational risks impacting Air Force missions.
Program Management Responsibilities
- Serve as the Contractor Program Manager responsible for the successful execution of Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) tasking.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, oversight, and management of contractor personnel supporting the program.
- Manage staffing, resource allocation, and workload distribution to ensure mission requirements are met.
- Ensure all contract deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate directly with Government leadership regarding program execution, staffing, priorities, risks, and performance.
- Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful contract execution.
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of related assessment experience.
- Ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS approximately one week per quarter.
- Valid US Passport.
- Experience in mission assurance, threat assessment, vulnerability/risk assessment, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of All Hazards and Threat Assessment (AHTA) processes and Enterprise Protection Risk Management (EPRM) systems.
- Ability to interpret and analyze military plans, orders, and operational data in support of risk assessments.
- An understanding of AF and/or DoD budget and funding processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience briefing senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant experience in a Mission Assurance related discipline including Force Protection, Civil Engineering, Emergency Management, Operations Research or Cyber Security.
- Experience working with Air Force operations (MAJCOM, Air Force Staffs), mission planning, or related military experience (G, J, or A staffs) preferred.
