Full job description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of all direct and indirect patient care services across the clinical team.
- Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and support to clinical leadership staff to promote continuous improvement in care quality and service delivery.
- Support clinical leaders with team management, staffing strategies, and operational planning.
- Assist clinical staff with patient and caregiver assessment, care planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation as needed.
- Collaborate with executive leadership in the development, management, and monitoring of the operational budget.
- Monitor operational and census trends to anticipate changes that may affect staffing, revenue, or expenses.
- Evaluate the performance of clinical leadership staff and support their development in clinician performance assessment.
- Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, and separation of clinical personnel.
- Ensure clinical performance evaluations are completed annually or more frequently when required.
- Oversee the accuracy, maintenance, and compliance of all patient clinical documentation, reports, and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to clinical documentation.
- Maintain appropriate levels of clinical supplies and equipment to support patient care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate onboarding and orientation programs for new staff, either directly or through delegation.
- Plan and deliver ongoing inservice training and continuing education opportunities for clinical personnel.
- Support organizational performance improvement initiatives, including productivity monitoring, quality reviews, and quarterly and annual evaluations.
- Ensure the delivery of highquality, safe, and compliant patient services.
- Contribute to the development of organizational goals, policies, and procedures, and oversee their implementation.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; advanced degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of recent management experience within hospice or home health services, including supervisory or administrative responsibilities.
- Alternatively, four years of recent clinical experience in a healthcare setting with at least one year in a leadership or administrative role.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical decisionmaking, quality management, and performance evaluation.
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop professional and administrative staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Pay: $60 +per hour, depending on experince
