As a Preschool Behavior Analyst at Anderson Center for Autism, you'll play a critical role in supporting classrooms, coaching educators, and implementing evidence-based practices that help young learners build communication, social, academic, adaptive, and behavioral skills. Working closely with Teachers, Teaching Assistants, therapists, and educational leadership, you'll help create classroom environments where children can thrive while ensuring staff have the tools, training, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional instruction.

What You Will Do as a Preschool Behavior Analyst:
- You will partner with Teachers and educational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain evidence-based classroom systems, positive behavior support strategies, and instructional programming that promote meaningful student learning and success.
- You will conduct ongoing classroom observations, assessments, and data analyses to evaluate student progress, identify learning needs, and recommend instructional and behavioral programming adjustments.
- You will help develop IEP-aligned instructional strategies, individualized learning programs, and classroom supports that address communication, social, academic, behavioral, and adaptive skill development.
- You will serve as a coach and mentor to Teachers and classroom teams by providing training, competency-based feedback, and ongoing support in evidence-based educational and behavioral practices.
- You will utilize Behavior Skills Training (BST) methodologies to ensure staff achieve and maintain competency in instructional techniques, classroom systems, and behavior support procedures.
- You will administer, analyze, and interpret assessment data, including verbal behavior and language assessments, to guide individualized educational and behavioral decision-making.
- You will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention strategies, including functional behavior assessment processes, data collection systems, and behavior support plans as needed.
- You will collaborate with Teachers, therapists, educational leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality services and consistent student support across programs.
- You will provide leadership in staff development, performance management, professional growth initiatives, program-wide training systems, and monthly professional development activities.
- You will support program quality, regulatory compliance, instructional fidelity, and operational consistency while helping to cultivate a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- You will stay current with emerging research and best practices in applied behavior analysis and early childhood special education, using your expertise to enhance outcomes for students, staff, and families.

The Qualifications We Seek
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing or active pursuit of BCBA certification with eligibility to sit for the examination.
- New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities Birth–Grade 2 preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Experience administering and interpreting VB-MAPP and similar assessment tools.
- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles, instructional design, behavior support systems, and educational best practices.
- Ability to effectively train, support, and mentor educational staff.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Obtain and maintain qualifications in all agency-required health, safety, and crisis intervention procedures.
- Be capable of assisting with all components of the agency's crisis intervention procedures when necessary.
- Assist occupants in the orderly evacuation of facilities during emergencies utilizing designated safety procedures.
- Complete all required agency training and professional development activities.
- Maintain all required medical clearances, background checks, fingerprint clearances, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
- Comply with agency policies, educational requirements, and organizational expectations.
