Position Purpose:
The Student Recruiter is responsible for attracting prospective students by effectively promoting the school’s programs and core values. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in student recruitment, leveraging their skills to engage potential students and guide them through the enrollment process.
Essential Duties:
- Proactively conduct 60-80 outbound calls per day and gain new applications to Charis Bible College in a way that is in alignment with our cultural values and integrity.
- Rapidly follow up on inbound inquiries via phone, email, and text, striving to convert every contact into a qualified applicant
- Host guided campus tours, online ZOOM meetings, and one-on-one consultations
- Articulate Charis Bible College’s Statement of Faith, mission, and program offerings with authenticity and conviction
- Serve as a powerful minister—praying for prospects, sharing testimonies, and modeling Christ-centered living in alignment with Charis Bible College's Tenets of Faith & Doctrine
- Deliver engaging presentations at various events and recruitment fairs
- Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM: call logs, notes, appointment outcomes, and application status
- Track weekly metrics: call volume, appointment sets, application submissions, and enrollments
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to optimize recruiting events and campaigns
- Represent Charis at on-campus and off-site events: open houses, relocation fairs, conferences, and churches.
- Collaborate on email drip campaigns, direct mail, and print collateral when needed
- Gather post-event data to evaluate ROI and inform future strategies
- Partner with Admissions, Marketing, and Academic teams to refine messaging and processes
- Share best practices, coach peers, and contribute ideas that elevate conversion rates
- Demonstrate ownership of personal goals and accountability to team objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven success in sales or recruiting, with a goal-oriented mindset
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Must be able to speak clearly and be comfortable presenting information to groups during tours
- Ability to quickly inspire trust and rapport over the phone and in person, converting prospective students into applicants.
- High comfort level with CRM systems
- Strong organizational skills and strategic priority-setting
- Adaptability to work with diverse audiences: teens, parents, ministry leaders
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries, events, and recruitment tasks simultaneously
- Strong listening skills to understand the needs and concerns of potential students
- Capacity to adjust strategies and approaches based on feedback and changing circumstances in recruitment
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- Must have a significant understanding of student recruitment strategies and practices, or willingness to learn and put strategies into practice with integrity
- Must have a desire to help others navigate and accomplish their calling to attend Charis Bible College
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, education, or communications is a plus
- Charis Bible College student or graduate preferred
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- Proven experience in sales, recruiting, or a related field is required
- 1-3 years of experience, with a track record of 25 applications per month
- Compensation is commensurate with experience
