Job Accountabilities:
- Develops detailed project cost estimates including project complexity factors and key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis
- Translates the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs
- Creates and establishes cost-monitoring processes that allow the company to track profit or loss for each project
- Manages reviews and audits of cost estimates, formulates, and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters
- Extrapolates cost curves based on firsthand experience of scheduled activities/cost correlation analysis
- Ensures that cost development policies and procedures are in compliance with government laws, regulations and management objectives
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications:
Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 3 - 7 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Understanding of composites materials and manufacturing processes highly preferred
- Strong estimating experience and ability to perform complex analysis
- Previous experience with CAD highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering models and drawings
- Able to meet multiple and/or conflicting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion, excellent verbal and written communication skills
