About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Human Resources leads people operations across all ArcLabs campuses. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both building HR strategy and rolling up their sleeves to support employees day to day. You'll own the full employee lifecycle, keep our HR practices consistent and compliant as we grow, and serve as a trusted resource for both leadership and staff.

What You'll Do

HR Leadership & Employee Relations

• Develop, interpret, and implement HR policies and procedures across all campuses, ensuring consistency and compliance as the organization scales.
• Serve as the central point of contact for leadership and employees on HR matters.
• Manage employee relations, including questions, concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Advise leadership on employment matters and workforce planning.

Employee Lifecycle

• Support recruiting, onboarding, employee documentation, and separations.
• Administer and coordinate employee benefits and serve as a resource for enrollment and benefits questions.
• Manage unemployment claims and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with applicable law and institutional policy.

HR Systems & Operations

• Administer the HRIS, including employee data management and system access support.
• Provide support within the payroll system and coordinate on employee data and changes.
• Oversee employee-facing operational systems that keep campus teams running smoothly.

Compliance & Accreditation Support

• Partner with the compliance department on documentation needs related to our accrediting body, ACCET.
• Prepare and organize employee records, job descriptions, organizational charts, and policies to support accreditation.
• Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local employment law changes affecting HR compliance.

What You'll Bring

• Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible HR experience, including employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS, and HR compliance.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR compliance requirements.
• Strong judgment and the ability to handle confidential personnel information with the utmost discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
• A valid driver's license (occasional travel between Texas and South Carolina campuses).

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent progressively responsible experience considered in lieu of a degree).
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• Experience in a multi-campus, education, or trade-education environment.
• Experience supporting accreditation (e.g., ACCET) documentation.

Work Environment

This role is primarily performed in a professional office setting with prolonged periods at a computer, plus occasional travel between our Texas and South Carolina campuses. Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
