Job Title: Grants & Housing Compliance Coordinator

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Grants & Housing Compliance Coordinator to oversee the administrative and compliance functions of the Agency's housing programs. This position ensures compliance with HUD regulations and other federal, state, and local requirements while supporting housing managers, senior centers, and grant-funded providers. The Grants & Housing Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating reporting requirements, and ensuring quality services for tenants, clients and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Housing Program Administration: Coordinate the administrative functions of the Agency's housing programs, providing support to on-site staff and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, fair housing laws, HUD regulations, tenant selection plans, and Agency policies.
- Tenant Eligibility & File Management: Assist with tenant selection for new applicants, conduct resident needs assessments, maintain tenant files in accordance with HUD guidelines, perform quarterly file reviews for compliance, and ensure all annual and interim recertifications are completed accurately and on time.
- HUD Compliance & Audits: Serve as the primary point of contact for property audits, coordinate audit activities, report findings and required corrections to the Director of Grants & Housing, process Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports, and manage the Agency's HUD software system to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Tenant Financial Administration: Process monthly rent payments, coordinate tenant security deposits and refunds with the Finance Department and prepare correspondence related to lease agreements and program changes.
- Grant Support: Provide assistance to clients applying for various Agency grant programs as requested.
- Medicare: Assist in providing Medicare updates and information to qualified individuals during Open Enrollment annually and to newly eligible beneficiaries.
- Communication & Professional Conduct: Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and requests for information while maintaining a positive, professional attitude and supporting collaborative relationships with tenants, providers, and Agency staff.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the Agency's housing and grant program objectives.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of MS Office programs.
- Technical writing and proofreading skills, including ability to draft contract language, and to review and edit written reports.
- Presentation skills, ability to prepare presentations, lead meetings, present ideas and information effectively and respond to technical inquiries.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to travel out of the area and overnight.
