Description
The Department of Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for part-time Faculty Associate positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the field of finance. Areas of instruction may include managerial finance, financial markets and institutions, security analysis and portfolio management, derivative financial securities, financial institutions, financial planning, personal finance, estate planning, and other special topics in finance.
These positions are one semester appointments, part time, non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. A typical Faculty Associate course load is one to two classes per semester. Teaching duties include: preparing course materials, responding to and evaluating student work, and availability for one-on-one assistance (via weekly office hours for on-campus classes and electronically for online classes). Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
Anticipated start date is Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
Essential Functions: The candidate(s) must contribute to the Department of Finance’s mission in the area of delivering excellent instruction of finance courses to undergraduate and/or Master’s students.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in business administration, finance or related field and five years related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Application Instructions: Initial application deadline is July 22, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed on a weekly basis in subsequent months throughout the academic year as needed until the search is closed. Faculty Associate vacancy announcements will be posted on an annual basis. Applicants who are not hired within the 2026-2027 academic year are welcome to reapply. Applications do not roll forward from the previous pool recruitment. Candidates will be asked to create or use an existing Interfolio Dossier to submit a resume or CV which clearly illustrates how prior knowledge and experience meets the minimum and desired qualifications of this position.
