Duties
As a/an Supervisory Nurse, you will:
- Supervise Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), students and external agency personnel, makes assignments in accordance with established written AFRH, Nursing Service and State Nurse Practice guidelines.
- Evaluate staffing levels and coordinates requests with Nursing Service.
- Monitor the availability of supplies and plans for replacement of necessary items.
- Conduct or assist the Supervisory Clinical Nurse in preparing for interdisciplinary rounds and coordinating the plan of care for the Resident.

Qualifications
Specialized experience for the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service, which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Overseeing physician/nursing care plans; AND
- Reviewing and making recommendations for improvement to quality of overall nursing care; AND
- Possession of a diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program.
OR
- Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.
SPECIAL NOTE: Long-term care experience and/or interacting with geriatric patients is highly desired.
RN - For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination.
