Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist is an integral member of the marketing team responsible for executing multi-channel marketing initiatives that drive customer engagement, brand awareness, traffic, and business growth. This position serves as a key partner to the Integrated Marketing Manager, helping coordinate marketing initiatives across CRM, digital advertising, retail marketing, agency partners, and cross-functional business teams.
The Marketing Specialist contributes to FDE's high-performance culture by delivering organized, accurate, and timely execution of marketing initiatives while supporting operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate combines strong execution and organizational skills with business acumen and marketing curiosity, demonstrating the ability to connect marketing activities to business performance, identify opportunities, and support continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
Campaign & Marketing Operations
- Collaborates with internal teams, agency partners, and vendors to plan, execute, test, and deploy marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Supports the development and coordination of campaign assets, approvals, deployment schedules, and marketing deliverables.
- Assists with campaign setup, testing, proofing, quality assurance, and launch activities.
- Creates campaign playbooks, marketing briefs, project documentation, and post-campaign or event recaps to support execution and continuous improvement.
- Supports marketing initiatives across CRM, digital advertising, retail marketing, and customer engagement channels.
Digital Advertising & Media Coordination
- Supports the execution of paid media campaigns and related marketing initiatives across assigned marketing channels.
- Coordinates creative asset trafficking, campaign specifications, deadlines, revisions, and deliverables across assigned marketing channels.
- Monitors campaign delivery and assists with pacing and performance reporting, identifying execution issues and escalating opportunities as appropriate.
- Assists with vendor communication, campaign documentation, and execution support to ensure accurate delivery of marketing initiatives.
Email & SMS Marketing
- Coordinate and oversee email and SMS campaign setup, scheduling, testing, proofing, quality assurance, and deployment activities.
- Manage audience list preparation, segmentation requests, and campaign deployment requirements.
- Support the execution of lifecycle marketing initiatives and customer journey campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations.
Retail Marketing & Events
- Coordinates and supports retail marketing initiatives, promotional activations, community engagement efforts, and select in-store events.
- Coordinates event logistics, promotional materials, vendor communication, and event-related marketing support.
- Coordinates production, shipment, and delivery of in-store signage, promotional materials, and marketing assets.
- Supports marketing activities related to store openings, relocations, remodels, and other retail initiatives as needed.
- Partners with store operations and leadership teams to support successful execution of retail marketing initiatives.
- Coordinates and sources photo and video assets from stores, events, and operational teams to support marketing and advertising initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting
- Compiles, analyzes, and communicates campaign performance metrics, competitive activity, and marketing results.
- Assists with campaign performance analysis and reporting to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization recommendations.
- Analyzes marketing performance and business results to identify actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
- Assists in identifying trends, opportunities, and performance drivers to support marketing and business objectives.
- Monitors competitive advertising, market activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities and best practices.
- Tracks marketing expenditures, invoices, and budget-related documentation.
- Supports reporting initiatives using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
Vendor & Agency Coordination
- Serves as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned vendors and agency partners.
- Manages project deliverables, timelines, asset requests, status updates, and communication.
- Maintainsorganized documentation, trackers, and communication records
Project Management & Workflow Coordination
- Manages marketing project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and workflow processes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Maintains marketing calendars, project trackers, workflow documentation, meeting notes, and follow-up action items.
- Coordinates cross-functional communication between Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Operations, Visual, Customer Experience, Store Teams, agencies, and vendors.
- Tracks project status, identifies risks, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities, and recommends solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and on-time execution.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contributes feedback and updates during weekly planning and status meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time..
Schedule Expectations
- The Marketing Specialist will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- This is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote work flexibility on Wednesday and Friday.
- The number of hours may increase during promotional events, holiday seasons, store openings, remodels, blackout periods, or to meet other business needs.
- Occasional travel and weekend availability may be required to support marketing events and retail initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Advertising, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or related fields.
- Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital advertising, media trafficking, programmatic advertising, or related media channels.
- Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms, including Klaviyo.
- Experience using Power BI and other reporting tools to support marketing performance analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with marketing agencies, media partners, or external vendors.
- Experience supporting retail marketing initiatives or events.
- Experience using Canva Pro to create and edit basic marketing materials, promotional assets, and presentation content while maintaining brand standards.
- Experience sourcing and coordinating photo and video assets for marketing and advertising initiatives.
