Sales Representative
Athena Management Services
Status: Full-time, Exempt (Outside Sales) Field-Based
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for building relationships, generating new business opportunities, and increasing awareness throughout an assigned territory. This field-based position focuses on developing strong professional relationships with local businesses, healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners to help grow the organization and its partner practices.
This is a relationship-driven sales role ideal for a motivated, outgoing, go-getter who thrives on creating opportunities, solving problems, and working independently. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, and enjoys finding creative solutions to challenges while representing a growing organization in the community. The Sales Representative will spend most of the workweek in the field conducting visits, attending networking events, and maintaining an organized sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Conduct regular in-person visits with prospective and existing referral partners, businesses, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships that generate new business opportunities.
- Identify and develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
- Present the organization's services using approved marketing materials and messaging.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and connect prospective clients or referral partners with the appropriate internal team.
Territory Management
- Plan and manage a weekly territory schedule to maximize customer visits and relationship-building opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, follow-up activities, and sales opportunities using the company's CRM.
- Organize daily activities to ensure consistent territory coverage and account growth.
Community Engagement
- Represent Athena Management Services at networking events, community functions, health fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
- Help distribute current marketing materials and promote brand awareness throughout the territory.
- Build partnerships that strengthen the organization's presence within the local community.
Reporting & Communication
- Track sales activities, new accounts, referrals, and customer interactions within the CRM.
- Provide weekly updates on territory activity, sales pipeline, and business development efforts.
- Share customer feedback, market trends, and growth opportunities with leadership.
Performance Expectations
Following an onboarding period (typically 60–90 days), the Sales Representative will be expected to:
- Conduct approximately 40–50 in-person sales or relationship-building visits per week.
- Develop and maintain a growing pipeline of prospective clients and referral partners.
- Meet monthly business development and sales goals.
- Maintain timely and accurate CRM documentation for all customer interactions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and customer-facing experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, business development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a territory.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn CRM software.
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred
- Previous outside sales or business development experience.
- Experience in healthcare, medical aesthetics, wellness, or professional services.
- Familiarity with the local business community and professional networks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE).
- Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard mileage rate for business travel or monthly vehicle stipend provided.
- Health insurance, paid time off, and additional benefits in accordance with Athena Management Services policies.
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a full-time, field-based position working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The majority of each day will be spent traveling throughout the assigned territory, meeting with clients and referral partners, and participating in community outreach activities. Limited office time is reserved for planning, CRM updates, and team communication. Occasional attendance at networking or community events may be requested.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
