Scope:
The QT Lead RBT plays a critical leadership role in supporting training, staff development, and quality client care at assigned locations. This position is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training programs for Behavior Technicians (BTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and Lead RBTs, while also providing direct clinical support as needed.
The QT Lead RBT partners closely with clinical leadership and operations to ensure consistent implementation of evidence-based practices, staff competency, and high standards of ABA service delivery. This role also supports program innovation, safety initiatives, and emergency preparedness, while fostering a collaborative, professional, and growth-oriented culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Staff Training & Development:
Design and facilitate engaging new hire training programs for BTs and RBTs.
Provide ongoing training and hands-on support to ensure high-quality treatment implementation.
Develop, update, and maintain competency-based training curricula in collaboration with clinical leadership.
Support and mentor new hires and staff throughout onboarding and beyond.
Lead RBT Development:
Train and support Lead RBTs in onboarding, mentorship, and leadership
responsibilities.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, audits, coaching, and feedback sessions.
Ensure fidelity and consistency in Lead RBT training across all locations.
Competency Evaluation:
Conduct structured competency assessments for BTs, RBTs, and Lead RBTs.
Provide actionable, individualized feedback and development plans.
Track, monitor and ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
Client Session Support:
Provide coverage for client sessions as needed.
Collaborate with BCBAs to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Maintain high standards of ABA implementation during all sessions.
Program Development & Innovation:
Identify training needs through data collection, feedback, and observation.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve and launch training initiatives.
Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs to optimize outcomes.
Safety & Emergency Preparedness:
Obtain and maintain Safety Care Trainer certification (if not already certified).
Lead Safety Care training, including initial certification and recertification.
Promote and reinforce safe handling practices across all centers.
Develop and maintain site-specific emergency action plans in partnership with Operations Managers.
Conduct annual emergency preparedness training and support quarterly drills.
Administrative & Compliance:
Maintain accurate training, competency, and certification records.
Ensure all documentation meets HIPAA and organizational standards.
Complete client documentation within 24 hours of service delivery.
Assist in preparation and maintenance of training and client materials.

Requirements:Qualifications & Skills:
Current RBT certification in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RBT, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lead RBT
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders.
Additional certifications or training in ABA methodologies are a plus.
Standards in Communications:
Act as a liaison between training, clinical leadership, and operations.
Maintain professional, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
Respond to communications within 1 business day.
