Inventory Analyst
Reports to: Site Lead
Location: Onsite within Refinery
Who we are:
AXion Logistics is a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider with a focus on the petrochemical industry. We have worked to develop strong relationships with the Petrochemical Industry and the supporting Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) companies; Integrated Material Suppliers; and General Mechanical providers. AXion has proven, effective processes and technologies. We have the experience and understanding required to efficiently manage routine Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) materials, order spares, manage inbound delivery and receipt, provide preservation and maintenance services, and the dispositioning of surplus or obsolete material and equipment.
Position Purpose:
The primary objective is to support maintenance repair and overhaul activities in the production plants serviced from the warehouse, while following all safety rules and recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
AXion Inventory Analyst will:
- Review, approve and complete all spare part or equipment requests (adds, changes, deletes) to ensure alignment with stocking policies and strategies.
- Work proactively with users to create shared understanding of needs, decisions, and promptly address all stock related issues and concerns.
- Review and reduce unneeded and dormant inventory (spare parts) by addressing obsolete stock.
- Review and prevent excessive stocking levels in the best interest of site initiatives.
- Review, proactively identify and correct deficiencies related to inventory, material master and catalog records.
- Update all spare part criticality codes to ensure alignment with plant equipment reliability.
- Update all supplier lead times to ensure accuracy for stock level decisions.
- Review and drive increased Bill of Material (BOM) usage (equip to parts cross-references) with appropriate plant technical focal points within the various disciplines.
- MRP Planning - Review and process planned orders for stock replenishment and optimization.
- Review outstanding material reservations and expedite as necessary to support plant operations.
- Manage and facilitate all stock equipment or spare parts repairs.
- Review & approve all returns to stock to control and prevent excessive stock.
- Focal point to investigate all stock outs & identify & record fix & root cause analysis report.
- Focal point for all inventory cycle count discrepancies and SAP ledger adjustments.
- Perform monthly completion and documentation of all inventory adds, deletes, inventory stock level changes, and stock avoidances.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Knowledge of materials used in industry
- Microsoft Office
- Warehouse Experience
- Pass a Functional Assessment verifying their ability to kneel, squat, lift and carry 50lbs, climb ladders, etc.
