BSG is currently seeking to hire a Security Supervisor to oversee an upscale Shopping Center in Marin County. The right Supervisor candidate will be an experienced Security professional who can oversee that the day to day operations run smoothly for the client, its employees, and for their customers. Ideal candidates will have proven relationship building and excellent communication skills. The primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor is to ensure the client(s) is provided with high quality services by the team to protect property, its employees and customers.
Shift: Full Time Morning (Tuesday through Saturday)
Hourly Rate: $27 per hour.

Security Supervisor Duties Include:
Supervise a team of uniform guards to ensure shifts are covered, timekeeping is adhered to
Coaching and developing teams: Ensure the team is knowledgeable of the site and understands the response protocol while minimizing liability. Develop staff through performance management (recognition, coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations and reviews)
Train agents on Post Orders, ensure all reporting and compliance requirements are met by Guards
Provide input to various tasks to include security planning, revision of Post Orders, and loss reports
Safely operate a company vehicle or cart on site property
Reports any loss, accident or injury or safety violations following established notification policy
Make recommendations to policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the client's personnel, buildings and fixtures
Respond to conflicts, medical, and operational emergencies, or natural disasters in an efficient manner
Fills out incident reports as needed
Reviews and audits team reports for accuracy and compliance to report writing and evidence standards
Ensure team maintains grooming and uniform standards at all times
Ensure team adhere to company standards while interacting with the public, clients, and emergency responders
Leads by example at all times
Regularly meets with management and client representatives to review program status and address perceived problems
Safeguards confidential information and property to include phone lists, schedules, keys, access control, credit cards, lost and found, and all equipment related to the position
Notifies and keeps management informed of emergencies and unusual circumstances
Perform other related duties, as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 years experience supervising teams
Possess a current California Guard Card License.
A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
Reliable transportation is necessary.
Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Guard can effectively perform essential job duties. The candidate must be able to:
Stand or Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.
Climb Stairs: Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.
Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment, and assist with other duties as necessary.
Physical Endurance: Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.
Run or Move Quickly: Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.
Physical Stamina: Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.
Kneeling and Bending: Ability to kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
Vision and Hearing: Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

De-escalate stressful or potentially volatile situations with professionalism, patience, and effective communication skills.
Prolonged Alertness:
Maintain focus and remain alert throughout long shifts, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
Emergency Preparedness:
Assist in evacuations or other emergency responses, utilizing physical stamina and agility to support individuals in need.
Reporting and Documentation:
Keep accurate and detailed activity logs, documenting all patrols, incidents, and observations during the shift.
Prepare comprehensive reports for any incidents ensuring records are clear and precise for review.
Professionalism:
Uphold a professional and positive demeanor at all times, representing the company and its clients with integrity and respect.
Adhere to legal standards, company policies, and client-specific protocols.
Maintain grooming and uniform standards consistently to project a polished and authoritative presence.
