PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$120,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC News is the most trusted global news brand in North and South America, reaching more than 70 million people weekly across digital, audio, and video platforms. The Partnerships Manager, Americas will support partnerships strategy and execution across the region, reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships. This is a high-impact role managing accounts that drive strategic reach and revenue, while upholding and protecting the BBC’s reputation and editorial integrity.

This role offers the opportunity to support major distribution and licensing partnerships across the Americas, expanding the audience for BBC News and the BBC World Service’s impartial and world-leading journalism. You will work with new and existing partners across the media and technology landscape, manage relationships with key stakeholders and partner with colleagues across the region and the wider BBC Group to unlock new growth opportunities.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Manage and support relationships with a variety of partners including in the US public radio ecosystem, serving as key point of daily contact
Own partnership lifecycle management, including onboarding, performance tracking, and contract renewals
Plan and deliver high-impact partner initiatives, including live broadcasts, events, fly-ins, and industry conferences
Develop agendas, secure speakers, and oversee logistics for partner events and stakeholder engagements
Manage partner communications, including schedules, breaking news alerts, content updates, and marketing materials
Produce regular reporting (quarterly performance, monthly data, programme schedules) to inform decision-making
Collaborate with editorial and production teams on partner asks (specials, trails, programme extensions)
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, managing urgent issues and partner escalations
Support financial management, including invoicing, dealing with issues and non-payments, as needed
Host partner visits and deliver premium stakeholder experiences
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Relevant experience in partnerships, business development, media distribution, or related field
Proven track record managing and growing strategic external partnerships
Strong project management skills with ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
Commercial and financial acumen, including contract management
Exceptional communication skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders internally and externally
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
High attention to detail and operational rigor
DESIRED
Experience working with broadcasters, public radio, or media distribution networks
Deep knowledge of the US media landscape
Familiarity with FCC or broadcast compliance frameworks
Experience delivering live events or broadcast activations
Exposure to financial systems (e.g., SAP) and CRM/reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Experience working across international markets
