Maintenance Technician – Multiple Locations

Position Summary:

The new member of the Maintenance team will be a hands-on, physical worker. They will excel in a company that provides award-winning customer service through holding employees to a high level of performance and accountability. This position will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and building exteriors of Bekins’ properties as well as conducting general maintenance and property upkeep on all facilities. This team member would travel between our multiple locations. 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, starting at $20 - $30 an hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• General building maintenance

• Repairs and upgrades to facilities

• Landscaping including replenishing shredded bark, garbage and debris removal, plantings, trimmings, weeding, and watering

• Lawn maintenance

• Clean and maintain outside of storefronts

• Pressure washing

• Snow removal

• Swiftly respond to any safety issues

• Safely multi-tasking in a dynamic environment

• Learn and follow company policies and procedures

• Clearly, concisely and respectfully communicate with others

Qualifications:

• Able to work independently

• Able to communicate clearly, appropriately, and concisely in verbal and written formats

• Ability to operate a fork-lift a plus

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to lift heavy objects

• Good driving record and current driver’s license

• Attention to detail

• Excellent customer service skills

• Safely travel to worksites – maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner
