- Leads root cause investigations (RCA) for nonconforming batches focusing on the identification and implementation of effective countermeasures.
- Ensures that thorough customer complaint investigations are completed in a timely manner.
- Drives quality personnel and operator empowerment in quality control practices while providing opportunities for career development.
- Leads plant quality improvement initiatives for reduction in batch adjustments (first run capability), product action elimination, and rework scrap reduction.
- Performs trend analysis on statistical process control (SPC) data to improve right the first time batch capability.
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in quality lab supervision in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of statistics, data collection and analysis, and the ability to examine data and draw accurate meaningful conclusions that can be turned into preventive or corrective actions.
- Extensive experience in plant batch processing and filling operations
- ASQ certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification a plus.
