Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervising Attorney to lead our legal team within a reputable law firm. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the law firm’s legal team, ensuring efficient case management and adherence to legal standards.
- Lead and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, fostering professional development and maintaining high-performance standards.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of cases spanning estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, personal injury cases, contract drafting, employment law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Conduct complex legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural laws.
- Prepare and review legal motions, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies for client settlements and dispute resolutions across various practice areas.
- Maintain comprehensive case files using advanced legal case management software while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Stay current on statutory laws and procedural updates relevant to multiple jurisdictions to provide clients with informed guidance.
- Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary, demonstrating strong advocacy skills and procedural expertise.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proven experience in law office management or supervising attorneys within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, litigation (including general & commercial), patent law, personal injury law, employment law case experience, and statutory research methods.
- Exceptional research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive legal analysis.
- Strong legal drafting abilities including contracts, motions, pleadings, and administrative documents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation tactics with clients or opposing counsel.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail in all legal documentation.
- Familiarity with procedural laws across multiple jurisdictions and effective case management practices.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple complex cases simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills complemented by excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal—are essential.
