Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for Associate Faculty positions in College in the High School. This position will teach College in the High School (CiHS) classes in specific disciplines as specified by Interagency Agreements with area high schools. This position reports to the Dean of Academic Transfer and Allied Health and works closely with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, Division Chair, and faculty liaison.

Compensation: Associate Faculty receive quarterly contracts. Payment is based on $987.71/lecture credit.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and teach assigned CiHS courses in accordance with the Master Course Outline and in consultation with a BBCC faculty mentor.
- Utilize best practices for teaching course content, engaging and motivating students to succeed.
- Meet the class times as required and assist students as needed with questions related to the course(s) being taught.
- Provide students access to course materials and their course grades.
- Support students’ academic success by maintaining regular student hour(s).
- Foster a flexible, healthy learning environment with respect for student diversity.
- Maintain positive and effective communications with students.
- Maintain and submit grades and class rosters to college personnel when required.
- Work with faculty mentor to post syllabi to the Big Bend Portal for each course taught.
- Work with faculty mentor to provide paired syllabi and paired assessments for each CiHS class taught.
- Attend annual discipline-specific training and annual discipline-specific professional development as required by the CiHS program accreditation.
- Meet with faculty mentor during annual site visit for each CiHS class taught
- Submit CiHS program assessment data as requested by faculty mentor.
- Attend CiHS program meetings held at BBCC, including new teacher orientation.
- Assist with development, selection, and/or recommend selection of instructional materials for course(s) being taught.
