About the Team: The purpose of the Culture & Engagement team is to create strategies and programs that inspire BJU Press employees to achieve greater effectiveness in business and ministry. The Culture & Engagement team supports the mission of BJU Press by equipping employees with the knowledge, development, and experiences they need to make their best contribution at work.
Role Summary: Are you an innovative thinker with a passion for people? The Organizational Development Coordinator at BJU Press serves a vital purpose in employee engagement by supporting the initiatives of the Culture & Engagement team including events, communications, and learning & development. Join a fantastic team of BJU Press professionals as we further the mission of transformative, biblical worldview K-12 education for Christian schools and homeschools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update communication channels (email, intranet, digital signage, social media) to deliver news and announcements quickly and simply
- Support special projects by participating in planning meetings and idea sessions.
- Gather news and preserve information integrity by writing clear and concise news summaries
- Support the team by making timely updates to content and event calendars
- Assist with coordinating and hosting the new employee orientation program
- Help manage and procure inventory of employee gifts and giveaways
- Support employee recognition programs by managing electronic documents and lists
- Coordinate scheduling and equipment needs for training events
- Assist with updating Learning Management System (LMS) enrollments and courses
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

- Strong project management skills and time management skills
- Willingness to be flexible
- Able to trouble-shoot challenges with good sense and practicality

- Aptitude for technology with ability to quickly learn digital systems and platforms
- Knowledge and basic skill in MS Excel is a plus
- Basic ability in layout/graphic design is a plus
