Crisis Case Manager
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Crisis Clinician is embedded within Cedar Park Police Department, partnering with officers in the department’s Mental Health Unit, and is a member of the Northern Hub Mobile Crisis Outreach Team. This position will provide services in-person and via televideo in Williamson and Burnet Counties to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health crises; will co-respond with officers; reduce police involvement when appropriate; and support coordination of treatment in lieu of arrest, emergency department use and hospitalization.
The Crisis Clinician will dispatch to various community locations (i.e. schools, emergency rooms, homes and BTCS clinics) to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention and follow-up services. Follow-up services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person- Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing/employment, discharge planning and linkage to ongoing services. The case manager provides person-centered services based on the current crisis needs of the individual and carries a caseload for the provision of crisis follow up and relapse prevention services.
This position collaboratively partners with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social service agencies to assist persons in crisis. The Crisis Clinician possesses strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with individuals experiencing a mental health, substance use, and/or developmental crisis, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with persons and families from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. The clinician must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently, yet collaboratively.
This position requires rotating on-call responsibilities at $30/day and is an Essential position, required to work on site. As MCOT operates 24/7/365, this position is required to work holidays on a rotating basis.
Hours:
- 12 Hour Shifts; 8 am – 8 pm
Location: Round Rock, TX and Cedar Park Police Department, Cedar Park, TX
Hourly Salary Range: $25.23 – $32.48
Differential Detail:
- $1.00/hour, 2 years previous experience in a similar position
- Up to $4.00/hour, tenure with BTCS
- .75/hour, Bilingual
- $1.00/hour, Associate or Advanced Licensure
- .50/hour, LCDC Licensure
Applicable Shift Differentials:
- Evening Shift: $2.00/hour
- Night Shift: $4.00/hour
- Weekend Shift: $4.00/hour
- Weekend Night Shift: $6.00/hour

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
Comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses.
Ability to work as a member of a team within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment is essential to this position.
Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
Must pass extensive background checks through Cedar Park Police Department.

Preferred Qualifications:
Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
Master’s degree.
Pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, social work or a related field.
Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred.
Experience in providing concurrent documentation preferred.
2 years crisis experience, 2 years case management experience.
