The Medical Scheduler/Receptionist is responsible for coordinating with families and clinicians to manage all client appointments across multiple disciplines. Minimum 1 year of experience in scheduling ABA is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare field is required, with experience scheduling in the follow fields preferred: speech, OT, PT, and/or ABA
- Ability to multi-task and triage
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation and bedside manner
- Strong background in computers and data entry.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
- Meets HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
- Passionate about healthcare excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedule clinic appointments including consultations and follow-up visits, utilizing the EMR and scheduling tool
- Manage over 100 client schedules and over 100 staff schedules
- Professionally assist staff, visitors, and patients.
- Collaborates with clinicians and intake coordinator to schedule current and future schedules
- Notify clinicians and intake coordinator when forecasted schedules show client openings
- Utilizes scheduling tools and a referral system to schedule patient appointments.
- Confirm patient is eligible with insurance plan at the time the appointment is scheduled.
- Answer and resolve all incoming calls and requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate with supervisor and/or leads about potential patient concerns.
- Triage and relay necessary messages to appropriate staff members.
The Medical Scheduler/Receptionist is responsible for providing all callers with quality service and a clear line of communication.
The Scheduler should have experience in scheduling multiple services per day for patients. For example, most patients receive a combination of speech, OT, and PT each day and would need to be scheduled back-to-back.
