Brightview Care is a rapidly growing provider of in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism throughout Michigan. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee support, compliance, and HR operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As an HR Coordinator, you will serve as one of the primary points of contact for employee inquiries while ensuring our workforce remains compliant with Medicare, Medicaid, DHWIN, and company standards. You will collaborate closely with Payroll, Clinical Leadership, Scheduling, Operations, and Recruiting to support the day-to-day success of our employees.
What You'll Do
Employee Support & Human Resources
Serve as a primary HR resource for employees by responding to questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, leave requests, timekeeping, employment verification, and general HR inquiries.
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Build positive relationships with employees and leadership while providing timely, solution-oriented support.
Assist managers with policy interpretation and HR processes.
Prepare employment verification letters and other HR correspondence.
Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and HR communications.
Escalate sensitive employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate.
HR Compliance
Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, DHWIN, payer, and company requirements.
Monitor employee compliance requirements, including:
CPR/First Aid certifications
RBT certifications
Background checks
Required trainings
Annual policy acknowledgments
Driver's license and auto insurance (where applicable)
Track certification and credential expiration dates and communicate renewal requirements.
Conduct routine personnel file audits to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
Assist with internal, payer, and regulatory audits.
Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
HRIS & Data Management
Maintain accurate employee records within UKG.
Process employee status changes, compensation updates, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Audit HR data for accuracy and completeness.
Generate HR reports and workforce metrics.
Partner with Payroll to resolve employee record and timekeeping issues.
Support ongoing HRIS improvements and system enhancements.
HR Operations
Maintain personnel files and HR documentation.
Assist with policy updates and process improvements.
Coordinate required compliance communications and documentation.
Monitor completion of mandatory employee trainings.
Support annual compliance initiatives and organizational projects.
Collaborate with Recruiting, Scheduling, Clinical Leadership, Payroll, and Operations to ensure smooth HR processes.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Hands-on experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)
Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, DHWIN, and healthcare compliance requirements.
Experience conducting HR audits and maintaining employee compliance documentation.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred
Experience in the ABA, behavioral health, healthcare, or home health industry.
Knowledge of Michigan employment laws and HR compliance.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
