Bruker AXS (Advanced X-Ray and Spark Optical Emmision Spectroscopy) in Madison, WI is looking for a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with all company directed safety policies. Effective communication and cross-functional teamwork are required. This position is also responsible for managing our contracted maintenance provider requiring frequent discussions concerning building repairs and projects
- Perform all Health and Safety functions, training and enforcement.
- Make sure we are up to date with customers’ safety plat-forms, so we are able to visit customers sites.

In-house Radiation Officer
- The RSO also manages and maintains personal employee safety equipment. Monitoring equipment such as Monitor 4’s and dosimetry badges. The RSO makes sure that all equipment is certified and calibrated at safe intervals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all activities involving radioactive materials and radiation producing equipment adhere to national and international standards and regulations.
- Radiation Protection Programs: Developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to minimize radiation exposure to workers and the environment
- Training and education: Provide training and education to employees on radiation safety principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and surveillance: monitor activities to ensure radiation levels in work areas remain withing the safe limit.
- Emergency Procedures: Develop and enforce radiation safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Safety Audits: Conduct routine safety audits to identify and correct safety issues.
- Compliance with regulations: Staying updated with changing regulations and implementing new guidelines to maintain safety and avoid penalties.
- Perform 2 fire and 1 tornado drills per year.
- Help with customer/supplier surveys

Oversee all functions associated with building operations.
- Updating/Maintaining Preventive Maintenance Orders
- Deal with daily building maintenance issues.
- Work closely with the third-party maintenance provider.
- Ability to review, understand and approve service provider invoices.
- Maintain ISO 9001 documentation database.
- At least 1 year experience and an associate degree in business preferred

- Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking.
- Ability to work as both a sole contributor and as a team member.
- Ability to execute tasks with a high level of accuracy.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $60,750 and $108,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
