We have an immediate need for a dependable, resourceful, and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team as a full-time Medical Assistant at our clinic in South Austin.
This role involves providing both administrative assistance and clinical support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination, escort them to the treatment room and be present during examination/treatment to assist the physician in treatment procedures.
- Measures, collects and records patient's vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
- Interviews patients and records or inputs information to patients' medical record.
- Collects all medical data to help the physician's ability to draw conclusions about the patient's needs. Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Cleans rooms after procedures, cleans and disinfects equipment, restocks supplies.
- Monitor patients’ recovery process, inform the provider of observations, and recommend changes in unresponsive treatment techniques.
- Maintain communication with patients after treatment to monitor their progress and suggest continuous treatment in the event of a relapse.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist in keeping clinic orderly and follows appropriate cleaning protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements:- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Stable work history.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency, including keyboarding, Microsoft Office, and eClinicalWorks or similar Electronic Medical Record platform.
- Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to exhibit core values (Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Quality of Care) and regularly encourage others to do the same.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with superiors and peers.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
