Car Parts Warehouse is looking for an Inside Sales Associate to become a part of our Warrensville Heights Store team. You will be responsible for selling merchandise in a retail setting, making inside sales calls to create new accounts, strengthen and grow relationships with current accounts and assist store Manager with current needs. We offer a year-end bonus program with our top Counter Sales Associates earning over $50,000!
Car Parts Warehouse has over 400 employees and 175 delivery vehicles servicing Northeast Ohio's professional installer automotive parts needs.
Summary/Objective: The Inside Sales/Counter Sales Associate will process parts ordered by walk in customers, phone orders and internet orders. You are the expert when it comes to parts, applications, cataloging, pricing, stock quantities, etc. The Inside Sales/Counter Sales Associate in most cases is considered the main contact with the customers.
Essential Functions:
- SELL, SELL, SELL
- You are expected to exhaust all possible opportunities in finding product for customer before saying we do not have the part
- Always dress, talk and present yourself in a professional manner at all times
- Always bill customers for core products, if a customer forgets or does not turn in a core, you must charge them for the core
- Answer phones professionally “Thank you for Calling Car Parts Warehouse, this is John Doe, how can I assist you.”
- No one likes to be put on hold. When someone is put on hold by you, it is your responsibility to make sure that the call is answered
- Refer all billing questions to the accounting at the main office
- All outside purchases require a purchase order…NO EXCEPTIONS
- You must sign retail customers up on Car Parts Club for retail customers retention program
- You must sign up commercial customers up with on-line ordering
- From time to time you will be asked to open and close the store which includes balancing drawers
as back-up to the manager
12. You are also responsible for putting stock away, cycle counting, and pulling parts
13. When taking personal checks as payment, it is required to verify the customer with a driver’s
license. It is required to take down driver’s license number, address and phone number and all checks MUST be approved by the store manager
14. Must monitor customers closely and look for changes in their buying habits/payment practices. Always try to collect PAST DUE bills
