Description
CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.
About You
You’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing advanced and complex surgical procedures. Your impact will span the full continuum of surgical support; from utilizing your RVT skills in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, and diagnostic testing, to guiding patients and their families through admissions, recoveries and discharges with compassion and expertise

Your Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
- CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
- Superior/advanced technical skills
- Has 2 years of surgical experience (in a veterinary clinic setting)
- Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
- Possesses a positive work attitude
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $32 – $36 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
