SUMMARY: Manufacture products utilizing primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Following all procedures and work instructions, achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following but will not be limited to. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate molding press/equipment per Company procedures
- Review job standards before running production
- Assure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformances
- Correctly record scrap every hour per work instructions
- Correct application of all internal and external labels when requires, including removal of all old labels from returnable packaging
- Correct application of lot control numbers
- Review daily of all applicable quality alerts
- Immediately notify Production Supervisor of all discrepancies to established quality checks or any condition identified to be out of the normal operating condition
- Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates during staff meetings
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
- Participate in team problem solving activities (communication meetings, shift meetings, etc.,) and continuous improvement activities
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental procedures
- Wear required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes/boots with rubber sole base)
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand on feet at least 8 hours/day and use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear; and stop, kneel, or crouch. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have good attendance and be able to work overtime as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
