Job Summary: This position is responsible for welcoming customers as they enter the store. Assist customers with flooring selections and follow through with sales and service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to determine flooring needs
- Gives additional product features and benefits when needed
- Accept and process customer’s payments
- Write sales orders, issues samples, provide estimates
- Work with installations team to schedule jobs
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound judgment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Build, maintain, and foster strong relationships
- Basic skill level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Organized and capable of handling high volume of interactions with all departments
- Ability to multi-task various processes and projects
- Must have effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Flooring sales experience a PLUS
- Self motivator
- Customer service oriented
- Previous sales experience is a plus
Work Environment:
- Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment
- Paid Training
- Family oriented company
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending
- Talking, hearing, listening
- Minimal lifting up to 25lbs.
