Position Summary
The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while providing leadership and support to the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned unit.
- Supervise and support nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Complete assessments, documentation, and clinical charting accurately and timely.
- Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians and family members.
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Promote a positive team environment focused on resident-centered care.
- Participate in the weekend on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Current, active North Carolina LPN or RN license.
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for providing exceptional care and developing others.
