We are seeking a Utility & Industrial Energy Program Outreach who will be responsible for engaging industrial customers on behalf of utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. This role builds relationships with facility decision-makers, trade allies, and market influencers to identify energy-saving project opportunities, drive participation in incentive programs, and support overall program goals. The Outreach Specialist acts as the key connector between program implementation teams and the market.
An effective Program Outreach utilizes a specific skill set, including sales and networking, a communicative approach, a willingness to handle administrative details, and an innate desire to be helpful.

What You Will Be Doing
- Build and maintain relationships with industrial and commercial customers, trade allies, and industry partners to identify and advance energy efficiency opportunities.
- Conduct outreach through calls, emails, events, and meetings to educate stakeholders on program offerings and benefits.
- Qualify leads and support participants through program and incentive processes and manage enrollment from initial engagement through completion.
- Track outreach activity, pipeline progress, and reporting data using CRM tools and other program systems.
- Partner with internal teams to share market feedback, align messaging and technical support, and independently meet outreach and program goals.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in energy management, technology, business administration or related field
- Successful lead generation, networking, and relationship building ability
- 2+ years of experience in B2B outreach, sales, or business development—preferably in the energy, sustainability, or industrial sectors
- General knowledge and understanding of energy-efficiency technologies and opportunities for industrial and commercial facilities, i.e., what systems use energy, how they use energy, and methods for reducing energy use
- Experience with utility funded energy efficiency or demand side management programs
- Self-starter, detail oriented, and collaborative
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this full-time, exempt position (as a national average) is $56,300 - $84,500. At Cascade, transparency and fairness are core to how we work.
