Central Bethany, an established and growing real estate development and property management company just north of the Beaverton-Hillsboro area, seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team! The successful candidate will effectively perform commercial facility repairs and ensure general upkeep such as drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, electrical and appliance repair, as well as rekeying locks, light HVAC, and other necessary maintenance duties.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 11:00am - 7:30pm. Performs on-call emergency service as required. On-call duty is shared among team members on a rotating weekly schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Pay: $27.50-$28.50 per hour
Shift: Full-time
A driver’s license is required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Completes variety of maintenance tasks, work orders and repairs throughout Central Bethany’s commercial properties.
- Proactively address potential issues before they impact operations or the tenant experience.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment or independently as needed.
- Displays excellent communication including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Quickly repair and troubleshoot mechanical faults with high-quality solutions
- Collaborate with suppliers, local contractors, and specialty service providers while upholding the highest quality standards.
- Provide regular updates to Property Management on repair timelines, budget usage, or emerging maintenance needs
- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair work independently as instructed or assist other skilled trade personnel to maintain facilities and grounds in proper condition. This includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
Qualifications
- Valid, current driver’s license required
- Maintenance Experience – 3-5 years in residential/and or 1-2 years in commercial.
- Demonstrates professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, walk, climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds to inspect above ground level units.
- Physically able to lift/move 70 lbs. frequently and Team Lift more occasionally.
- Self-Directed with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to change
- Proficient in using computer software and mobile applications to manage work orders and track preventive maintenance schedules.
- Able to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately
Language Requirement
All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
