Cedar Works is searching for an experienced Maintenance Tech in our Smitten, Ohio location. This position requires qualified candidates to be safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner, working with tight schedules and deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following manufacturer's instructions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Able to lift up to 70lbs.
- Able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time position in a warehouse production facility.
- Work Overtime and weekends as required.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
