Shifts: PRN
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Occupational Therapist at CNS, you will play a pivotal role in transforming lives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Patient Evaluations: Conduct initial evaluations to identify major problems and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Administer therapy programs, such as range of motion exercises, and perform interim evaluations to update patient programs. Additionally, you will perform on-site job, home, power tools, and height evaluations.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records and reports. Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various clinic disciplines to provide guidance and information. Communicate with outside ancillary services, such as physiatrists, orthopedists, neuro-optometrists and neurologists, as needed.
- Program Management: Stay informed about all patient programs within the department. Instruct and supervise clinic aides and students, ensuring they complete daily treatment plans. Be available to provide advice or treatment at all times.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's needs. This includes sensory integration, neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental techniques, oculomotor and visual perceptual therapies, and other specialized therapies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of innovative individualized treatment strategies.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities. Take advantage of mentorship programs and professional development paths that reward learning and skill-building with compensation boosts.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
- Certification: Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is mandatory.
- Licensing: You must hold a current Occupational Therapy License in the state of employment or be license eligible.
- Preferred Experience: Knowledge and experience with sensory integration and neurodevelopment of the visual system are highly recommended and preferred.
Pay Range for this position is $49.00 - $56.00 an hour
